In a survey I conducted, a reader wrote:
I'm wondering about what images that we should or shouldn't visualize in our attempt to make a prosperous life.
Here's an example of what I mean:
I have a well-paid job and a flat (apartment) I bought by a loan from a bank in the city where I now live.
Everything would be just great if that flat and job would be in the city where my mom lives.
I want to be close to my mom, who's elderly, and to all my friends and family who live there as well.
What should and what shouldn't I imagine during my daily visualization process?
I don't see much way out of the loan I have, except to:
- Get a job as good as the present one where I live now.
- Sell the flat, and buy another one where my mom lives, once I get the job there and move over.
Thanks a lot for your kind response."
You're most welcome.
The answer is simple...
Mentally, in your imagination, you should experience (I prefer that word to visualize) yourself as already having the exact situation you desire.
In other words, in your particular case, you should experience yourself as having a well-paid job and a flat in the city where you want to live along with all the feelings of happiness and joy that come from your being close to your mom and all your friends and family members who live there as well.
What you shouldn't mentally experience, nor concern yourself with, is how that's going to happen. Just imagine the end result as you desire it to be as a done deal, and the necessary ways and means will present themselves to you, in one way or another, along the way, as you're ready to receive and take advantage of them, ways and means you may not have even thought of up to this point, for as Wallace D. Wattles wrote in his book The Science of Being Great:
"That which is in you impelling you forward is in the things and people you need, impelling them toward you. If there is a particular man you need to know, he will be introduced to you; if there is a particular book you need to read it will be placed in your hands at the right time. All the knowledge you need will come to you from both external and internal sources. Your information and your talents will always be equal to the requirements of the occasion. Remember that Jesus told his disciples not to worry as to what they would say when brought before the judges; he knew that the power in them would be sufficient for the needs of the hour."
That same power is in you!
