3 Tips for Achieving More Prosperity in Your Life

When you achieve prosperity, it usually means that you have a lot of external sources of happiness. Perhaps you have multiple streams of income or a very successful job that affords you all the material things you could ever want.

But are all forms of prosperity about obtaining something? What if it just meant to be something? This might sound confusing but consider a few things for a moment.

For instance, look around your current environment and think about why it's the way it is. The truth is that the feelings and thoughts you have within yourself have a direct relation to the environment you put yourself in. So, if you want to achieve those external sources of happiness in your life, then you have to start by focusing on how you think and feel on the inside and work your way out.

  • Ask yourself the following questions:
  • Do you think only lucky people can achieve prosperity?
  • Do you think it's impossible to achieve the kind of success that you want to achieve?
  • Do you believe that failure is your destiny?
  • Do you spend too much time focusing on the things you don't have?

If you answered "yes" to all these questions, then you're preventing a steady flow of prosperity from entering your life. If you want to flip this around, think about the person you are each day. How are you being?

You can be more prosperous by following these tips:

1. Live in the moment.

Live in the moment rather than in the future. Prosperity and happiness will find their way to you if you enjoy yourself now rather than later. The irony is that more good things will flow into your life when you live this way. You won't even need to put any additional effort into making it happen.

2. Embrace "miracles".

We all tend to be skeptical about the things that are possible for us to achieve. Instead of embracing the possibilities, we focus on the impossibilities and the negative way of thinking. This isn't a good thing to do. If something seems impossible, then start believing that you can achieve it anyway. You may not know how you're going to achieve it but just believe in the "miracle" of achieving the impossible. If you do this, then good things will follow. You watch.

3. Don't worry about how to do something.

People often convince themselves not to try and achieve something because they don't know how to do it. What you must understand is that it's okay if you don't know how to do it. Let the universe guide you in the right direction instead of trying to guide the universe by controlling every little aspect of your life. In other words, take the stress off your shoulders and let the universe bring prosperity to you. Without all this stress, you'll be happier and more willing to do new things because you're not worried about how to do them anymore.

Of course, you should still take action and work toward the things you want to achieve. But, at the same time, become more aware of who you are each day that you wake up. If you feel resistance toward taking action in your life, fight through that awful resistance until you're working on your goals. Start with a few small steps if things get difficult. Sometimes a few small steps are all it takes to achieve big change. Then, as you go through big internal changes, you can move even further toward absolute prosperity.

An Abundant Mindset

Does your entire life seem completely satisfying and abundant? Most people would say their lives are great in certain areas but lacking greatness in others. What if you could alter your mindset so that you can notice more of the abundance in your environment and attract additional abundance that you've never had before?

Before we get into that, you should understand what makes an abundant mindset different than a mindset that lacks abundance.

Some people have a mindset where they're negative and always think there's never enough of anything. For instance, they might argue with their partner about not having enough money to pay the bills. Either that or they might just lack the excitement or drive to do anything fulfilling with their life because they're afraid to think outside of their comfort zone. Anytime a person limits themselves in their thoughts or ambitions, they have a less abundant mindset. They'll always focus on the difficulties and problems of a situation rather than the joys that can come out of it.

On the other hand, a person with an abundant mindset will see opportunities and fulfillment that are available for everyone to enjoy. They don't worry about clinging onto every little opportunity before it gets away. Instead, they feel like opportunities are everywhere and easily accessible all the time. Most importantly, people like this will see the joy in everything and appreciate the positivity in each moment they experience.

Unfortunately, a lot of people in this world have a mindset that lacks abundance. They focus so much on the negativity around them without noticing the positivity that's out there.

The big question is, can someone with a mindset that lacks abundance turn that around to a mindset filled with thoughts of abundance? Yes, it's possible. However, you'll need to focus on each moment in the present and develop an abundant attitude for it. If you start having those negative thoughts come back into your head during these moments, just ignore those thoughts. Then, replace those thoughts with newer thoughts that promote positivity and abundance.

Below are 3 steps to getting started with this mindset change:

1. Notice the abundance that surrounds you.

Think about everything around you and where it came from. For instance, when you visit a grocery store, you're surrounded by shelves filled with different food products. Most of these products are comprised of several ingredients that different people put together to make them. Use this concept as an analogy for all your surroundings. Think about how houses have been constructed from the wood of trees. Think about how cars are basically a bunch of small metal-based components that are put together. If you start thinking about how the little things in your life amount to so much more, you'll notice the abundance around you more than ever.

2. Realize that you have plenty already.

Someone who lacks an abundant mindset is always thinking they don't have enough. Meanwhile, a person with an abundant mindset will constantly think about everything they do have. They'll tell themselves that they have plenty of things in their life, and they won't dwell over the things they don't have. These are the kinds of people who say "I'm satisfied with my life," "I'm blessed with what I have," or "I have more than enough money."

3. Be a giver.

People who think they never have enough will want to keep a close eye on what they do have. This means they'll never share with anyone and will likely become greedy. But if you can learn to share the things you do have, like your money or possessions, then it'll have a positive impact on your mindset. Soon you'll start realizing that you really do have a lot of things because so many other people need what you have. As your abundant mindset increases from sharing with others, you'll attract more love and wealth without even realizing it.

Is Abundance Something You Deserve?

If you're like many people, you dream of having abundance in your life. The question is, do you truly believe that you're entitled to it?

When you think about it realistically, you might talk yourself out of believing that you're entitled to abundance. You'll tell yourself that being rich and happy are two things that aren't meant for you. This belief typically comes from a lifetime of being "down on your luck" and living a less than satisfying life. The idea of drastically changing your life will seem like an impossibility. You'll give into the belief that you're destined for a boring and unsatisfying life.

We've been programmed our entire lives to think a certain way. If you've only surrounded yourself with people who've been unhappy in their own lives, they'll reinforce their negativity onto you. Any time you aspire for something greater in your life, these people will drag your spirits down and tell you that it'll never happen. If we hang around these naysayers long enough, we'll start giving into their negativity and believing it. As a result, we stop aspiring for that abundance which we truly want.

If any of this sounds like you, then abundance will never come into your life because you've already put up a barrier to block it. By getting rid of your negative thinking, you'll remove this barrier and allow abundance to finally enter your life. It'll take some time to do this, but it's definitely worth it in the end.

Here are some things you should know about negative mindsets:

- You constantly think about the negativity that came to you from naysayers in the past.

- You constantly think about your own negativity that you've told yourself.

- To be released from your negative thinking, just accept that you have a choice to believe in the negativity and that it's your choice alone to make.

If you have a negative voice constantly speaking in your mind, here's how to make it more positive:

First, you need to love yourself and be kind to yourself. The main reason you have a negative voice is that other people have helped fuel it with their own negativity. You may also be overcritical of yourself whenever you fail at one of your goals. You need to overwrite the negative messages that you're feeding yourself with positive messages. Just say kind things to yourself repeatedly throughout each day. After a while, saying kind things to yourself will become a habit that you won't want to break.

Second, recognize your accomplishments. If you have the mindset that you're not good enough at anything, then you need to recognize and celebrate every little accomplishment that you've done. Many of us accomplish a lot of small things that we never recognize. If you were to praise yourself each time you achieve something, it'll make you feel so much better in the long run. Suddenly, you'll feel good about yourself, and you'll aim to keep doing better.

You have a right to abundance. The people in this world who have abundance are no more deserving of it than you. Tell yourself that abundance is your right too. You deserve to be happy and to have all the wealth and joy that you desire. You can be whatever you want to be if you keep going after it and never give up. That's how you'll reach abundance in your life.

Of course, abundance won't happen overnight. You need to have patience because abundance will take time to achieve. Just keep moving forward and completing the tasks necessary to get to that abundant place where you want to be in your life. Meanwhile, you'll slowly become happier, energetic, and more positive.

Want a More Abundant Life? You've Got to Change Your Beliefs

Abundance.

We'd all like to experience it, especially where money is concerned.

But in order to actually bring financial abundance into your life, you've got to change your beliefs.

Take a minute to think about your beliefs when it comes to money. Are there any thoughts that could be standing between you and a more abundant life? Even if you don't say them out loud, your beliefs are a message to the universe. It's like sending an email of what you want - or, at the very least, expect - to experience in your life. So if you believe that you'll never have enough money, that's exactly what the universe will give you!

Your beliefs lay the foundation for your entire life. Not only do they communicate with the universe, but they also affect the actions you take (or don't take!). If the wrong beliefs take hold, they'll lead to actions that will prevent you from achieving a life with financial abundance.

How do you know if your beliefs are holding you back? See if any of them match these common prosperity-blocking beliefs:

1. "I have to work really hard for my money."

Mom and Dad probably told you that hard work is the only way to get ahead in life. You probably have gotten used to the idea that you have to struggle mightily for every single penny you earn. Plus, you probably don't think that you can get something for anything less than that. Unfortunately, these beliefs might be causing you to push away legitimate opportunities that would lead to more financial abundance.

The key to changing this belief is optimism. Instead of thinking that you have to work like a dog all the time, embrace the fact that good things can come easier to those who expect them.

2. "I don't deserve a lot of money."

Maybe you think that other people need the money more than you do. Or maybe it makes you feel guilty to even consider accepting more money for that 9-to-5 job or for that above-and-beyond task you just completed.

These feelings aren't noble; they're a sign of unworthiness.

This belief is your way of telling the universe "thanks, but no thanks". Until you believe that you actually deserve more abundance in your life, you won't get it. Learn to love yourself, and it'll be much easier for you to accept all of the good things - including money - that come your way.

3. "Money doesn't grow on trees."

If you think there's only so much money to go around, you're focusing on lack instead of abundance. Unfortunately, until you change that way of thinking, all you'll experience is lack.

To shift your mindset, look at all the examples of massive abundance. Look at your wealthier friends, or look at the endless array of rich celebrities. They've created plenty of financial abundance in their lives, so why can't you do it too?

Instead of believing that things are impossible, use these examples to remind you that anything is possible. These people are living proof that the sky's the limit. The only one holding you back is you!

Bottom line - if any of these beliefs sound familiar, you've got to eliminate them. Once you do, you'll begin taking actions that lead to more financial abundance. Either way, your beliefs are going to turn into your physical reality, so focus on making your reality a good one!

3 Ways to Turn Yourself into a Prosperity Magnet

We've all encountered them - those people who seem to naturally attract all of the good stuff in life. They've got plenty of money and friends, a great job, and a loving and healthy relationship. You've probably looked at them and wondered, "Why does everything come so easily to them?" You've probably also been a little jealous of them on those days when it feels like you're doing everything you can, yet still struggling to get by.

But there's good news - these people weren't just born lucky. They simply approach life with the right mindset, and with a little bit of work you can too!

If you want to live a prosperous life, you've got to do these three things:

1. Figure out what your passions are and go after them.

Those prosperous people don't settle for mediocrity. Instead, they view every single day as a new adventure - and, more importantly, another chance to experience joy.

What are you passionate about? If you don't really know the answer to that question, think about what you loved doing as a kid. What hobbies do you enjoy now? Once you've got some answers, follow them.

Still not sure what your passions are? Go out and figure them out! Take a class that looks interesting, take up a new hobby, and don't be afraid to try new things. If you listen to your heart, you'll know exactly what to do. Once you get out there and start taking action, you'll start enjoying more prosperity.

2. Believe in possibilities.

Those prosperous people enjoy the present, but they also know that the future can be even better. They don't think about shortcomings and challenges. Instead, they believe that they have limitless possibilities. In turn, they're much more willing to try new things and take advantage of new opportunities that come their way.

Remember, nothing in life stays the same forever. Everything in and around you is constantly changing. If you can learn to embrace change, you'll naturally start attracting newer, better opportunities.

3. Remember that you deserve it.

How do you react when someone pays you a compliment? Do you thank them, or do you disregard them? If you're in the habit of dismissing compliments, it's a sign that deep down you don't believe you deserve them. And guess what? If you don't deserve those compliments, you don't deserve all of the other good things that come your way!

Prosperous people don't think this way. Not only are they grateful for compliments and other blessings, but they have absolutely no doubt that they deserve them.

How do you start thinking this way?

Go out of your way to find the blessings in your life, and then take a moment to be grateful for them. Tell yourself that you deserve these good things and that you deserve even more than you have right now. It may take some time for you to really believe these affirmations, but keep repeating them to yourself. Eventually, you won't have to work so hard to convince yourself!

If you stick with these three tips, you'll completely change the way you think. And soon enough, you'll be one of those people who attract the very best that life has to offer!

Anxiety vs. Prosperity - Here's How to Win the Battle

You probably already know that anxiety can wreak havoc on your health and overall well-being, but that's not all it can do. It can also kill prosperity before it ever has a chance to reach you.

To understand how, think of prosperity in terms of energy. When there's positive energy flowing through you, that's prosperity. The energy may come in different forms - like money, love, happiness, peace, fulfillment, or joy - but no matter what form it takes, the energy is there. You can feel it making your life better.

Unfortunately, though, anxiety can stop this wonderful energy from flowing freely through your life!

Take a second to think about your garden hose. Normally, water flows through it just fine. But if you grab onto the hose and squeeze it, the water won't be able to flow like it should. Squeeze it tightly enough and you won't see any water flowing out of it. The only way to get the water flowing again is to relax your grip.

This solution works with your garden hose, and fortunately, it also works with the anxiety that's plaguing you.

When you're caught in the tight grip of anxiety, you don't think clearly. Your thoughts may be cloudy or completely scattered. Either way, they're dominated by one emotion - fear. If you've got fear flowing through your mind, it's going to affect the way you act. Even worse, it's going to determine what kind of energy you're sending out to the universe.

Know what happens then?

The universe will send you more of the stuff you're focusing on - fear and anxiety. Before you know it, your entire life is caught up in this vicious cycle.

How do you prevent this from happening?

- Pay close attention to your thoughts.

Feelings like fear, tension, frustration, depression, and hopelessness can quickly become habitual. They can creep into your mind without you thinking twice about it. If that sounds like you, make a conscious effort to stop. When those thoughts pop up, force yourself to think about something else that's more positive and constructive.

- Do more of the things you love.

It's hard to dwell on fear and anxiety when you're doing things that make you feel good. Not only will this crowd out the negative feelings, but it will help you send a more positive energy out into the universe - meaning you'll attract even more positive energy in return.

- Make gratitude a habit.

Spend a couple of minutes each day thinking about the things in life that you're grateful to have. Think about the people you love and the things that are going right in your life. Say a quick "thank you" for each of them so that your mind can focus on appreciation instead of anxiety.

- Meditate.

Meditation or deep relaxation can help you control your mood and mindset. You can even create your own mantra - something that you can say to yourself to instantly trigger more peaceful thoughts. It may seem silly at first to whisper things like "Om", "Peace", or "Relax" to yourself, but as time goes on, you'll see just how powerful a mantra can be.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to eliminate all anxiety from your life. No matter how strong and positive, we all feel tense or frustrated at times. There will always be things in life that you have no control over; that's life.

But if you make a conscious effort to fight anxiety when it creeps up, you'll win the battle. Pay attention to your body. It will let you know when anxiety is starting to spiral. Then, when your body signals that there's a problem, take a moment to consider whether or not it's something you can control.

If you do have some control over the issue, take the necessary steps to solve it as fast as you can. If you don't have any control over the situation, do your best to set it aside. That may seem hard, but the sooner you can release yourself from anxiety's clutches, the sooner you'll be able to invite more prosperity into your life!

You Really Can Live a Life of Abundance!

We've all faced a period of lacking in our lives. You know, when you feel like you're lacking in money, lacking in time, or lacking in great experiences. Whether your rough period had to do with money, boredom, or something else entirely, you know what it's like to yearn for more.

Wouldn't it be nice to never feel like that again? How wonderful would it be to always feel like you're swimming in a sea of abundance?

I'm going to let you in on a little secret - abundance doesn't have anything to do with your bank account or your long list of responsibilities. Instead, abundance is a state of mind that you can put to good use anytime, anywhere.

How do you do that?

All you have to do is choose to see "more than enough"!

For some people, though, that can be really tough. After all, lots of us are so used to focusing on what we don't have that it sounds impossible to switch gears and focus on what we do have.

But here's another secret - changing your mindset isn't as hard as you think. All you need is a little bit of practice. Eventually, you'll automatically adopt an abundance mindset in every situation!

First, though, you've got to pay close attention to the thoughts that are racing around inside your head. If you're constantly thinking that you don't have enough, you'll actually start to believe that you have less than you really do!

So, the next time you hear yourself slipping into thoughts of lack, think about abundance instead.

For example:

  • When you really want to buy something, but you don't have enough money for it...
  • When you feel unfulfilled by your job...
  • When you're sitting around feeling bored...
  • When you wish you could meet that one great guy/girl to share your life with...
  • When you wish that your life had a bigger purpose...

Think about what you do have right now. Think about the place you call home, the car you drive, the great friendships you have, and the good health that allows you to get out of bed every morning. When you look at it that way, you've got an awful lot! You've got a whole lot more than some people.

As you make a mental list of all those wonderful things, say to yourself (out loud if you have to!) that you have "more than enough". Because the truth is, you actually have more than you need. You've got everything you need to survive, and that alone is a remarkable blessing.

Of course, you're allowed to want even bigger and better things. Focusing on abundance doesn't mean you stop working toward other goals. However, when you focus on the abundance of good things that you already have, you'll start to attract even more blessings!

Want your abundance to grow even more?

Just give things some additional thought. For example, there may be certain situations that make you feel powerless. However, if you sit down and really think about them, you may be able to come up with a solution. Think about what small steps you could take to improve things. Then, bundle all of those little steps together to make a big difference!

One final tip - you should feel joyful and lighthearted when you focus on abundance. This should be a process that makes you feel good, not scared or desperate. The key is to trust in your ability to create more for yourself. And, remember, the universe is willing to help you, too. As long as you trust in the process, you really will end up with "more than enough" of everything you could possibly want!

Prosperity Can Only Come into Your Life if You Make Room for It!

Want to live a more prosperous life? You've got to start by getting rid of all the stagnant stuff.

What's that mean?

If certain parts of your life are stagnant - meaning they've lost the sparkle and vitality they once had - they can actually block you from living the life you want. It's no different than inviting some friends over for dinner and then piling a bunch of heavy boxes up against the front door. No matter how hard your friends try to get in, they won't be able to!

So how do you stop clutter and disharmony from blocking your prosperity?

First, you have to promise yourself that you're going to work firmly and efficiently to get rid of it. This can be harder than it sounds because it's not always easy getting rid of things that've fallen into disrepair. You may be emotionally attached to them, even if you know deep down that they're holding you back. The only way to prevent this is to be firm with yourself - and remind yourself that there's something newer and better out there.

Once you have that mindset in place, you can start removing the blockages. Begin by assessing your physical surroundings. Is there a lot of clutter in your house? Your car? Your office? If there is, think about how you feel in those places. Is your thinking cloudy? Do you feel a little depressed or lethargic? Do you feel confined? Physical clutter can do all those things!

That's why it's so important to get rid of it. Donate the things you no longer need or use. Then, clean and organize everything that's left over. When you see your desk get decluttered or when you see the floor and windows sparkle, you'll feel empowered.

More importantly, you'll be ready to take on what's next.

After you've physically cleaned everything up, it's time to clean up your financial life. Do you subscribe to magazines that you never bother to read? Cancel them. Do you have a high credit card balance? Pay some of it off. Have you balanced your checkbook lately? Go do it. Is there a pile of past-due bills sitting on the counter? Go through them.

Yes, this can seem overwhelming. But you don't necessarily have to take care of everything right this second. Even just coming up with a strategy to get them taken care of will make you feel like a major weight has been lifted off your shoulders. For example, creating (and sticking to!) a budget, contacting your creditors and setting up a payment plan, and starting a savings account will all help remove the blockages you've let build up. In the end, you'll have more peace of mind - meaning you'll enjoy greater prosperity.

Finally, tackle your emotional balance. If you're holding a grudge or dwelling on a past relationship, you're blocking prosperity from entering your life. Be honest with yourself, and identify any emotional habits that are holding you back. Once you do, you'll feel stronger spiritually, and you'll finally get rid of that empty or aimless feeling that's been weighing you down.

This can be the hardest challenge of them all, but simply tackle it the same way you did with your physical and financial clutter. When you figure out what's preventing you from living the life you want, get rid of it. Create a plan to resolve any emotional issues that you have, and commit to making long-term changes.

You may struggle at first to achieve these objectives, so pay attention to how you feel when you tackle even just a little bit. It's exhilarating to know you're making changes for the better, so embrace the exhilaration, and use it to motivate you to do more! Before you know it, better things will start flowing into your life - simply because you made room for them!

In his book You Were Born Rich, well-known self-development author and speaker Bob Proctor refers to "the vacuum law of prosperity", about which he writes:

"... if you sincerely desire to receive something which is new, you must first make room for it by ridding yourself of that which is old."

Calling it "an ironclad law of life".

Now, I don't know if that's really true or not, it's certainly not something Mr. Wattles addressed in his writings, however, personal experience tells me it may well be, or so it seems anyway.

10 Tips to Help You Live a Prosperous Life

True prosperity is about a whole lot more than money! If you want to live a prosperous life, you need to give your mind a makeover. Specifically, you need to stop focusing on the stuff you're lacking and shift your thoughts over to abundance.

How exactly do you do that?

1. Do what you love.

Whether it's soaking in a bubble bath, reading your favorite book, heading out to dinner, or switching careers, doing things you truly love automatically puts you in a better mood. And, when you're happier, you send out positive vibes that make it easier to attract positive things.

2. Remember you have enough.

If you frequently remind yourself you have enough money for the things you need, you won't feel like you're missing out on anything. Instead of wondering what could be, you'll be focused on the here and now. Adopt this mindset, and you'll soon discover your physical surroundings shift to meet this new, more positive mindset.

3. Become a doer.

If you just sit around waiting for your life to change, you could be in for a long, depressing ride! Even small steps can lead to big opportunities to send your life in a more positive direction. And, at the very least, by getting up and taking action, you'll feel like you have more control over your life.

4. Show gratitude.

When you take time to appreciate the things in your life, you automatically feel more abundant. And, the more you search for things to appreciate, the more positive things you'll notice. Even showing gratitude for small things can change your entire attitude!

5. Love your life.

How often do you think about how much you love your family, friends, and experiences? Love is a powerful force that can transform lack into abundance, inspire positive change, and heal your pain when something inevitably doesn't go your way. You should even love daily obstacles because they make you more appreciative of the blessings you've got.

6. See yourself in a better light.

If you don't think you deserve a prosperous life, you'll never have one! Subconsciously, you'll do things to push it away. So, make a point to tell yourself you deserve to be happy, healthy, and wealthy. The better you feel about yourself, the more open you'll be to new blessings.

7. Understand your beliefs set the tone for your entire life.

Even if you have all the self-worth in the world, your beliefs about other things can prevent you from living a prosperous life. For example, if you believe rich people are rude and insensitive, you may subconsciously think having money is a burden - and, thus, you don't work as hard as you could to get it. The sooner you identify and change the beliefs that are holding you back, the better your life will be!

8. Make room for more.

If your life is full of stress, anger, and anxiety, you simply don't have room for prosperity! Think of your life like your garage. If it's full of yard tools, old clothes, and other clutter, you'll never have room for a brand new car. And, if your life is full of physical, emotional, and financial issues, you'll never have room for prosperity.

If you can clear some space in your life for abundance, you'll automatically generate more of it. You'll be amazed at how fast your life goes from stagnant to vibrant!

9. Tap into your abundance radar.

If you focus on something, it's likely to expand. So, if you focus on abundance at every twist and turn, you'll likely see a whole lot more of it. For example, when you're at the grocery store, notice the abundance of frozen dinners in the freezer. Then, think about all the creativity that went into creating each one. After all, every single one of them is a simple idea that was transformed into a physical product! How cool is that?!

10. Think positive.

Negative thinking is simply looking at every situation from a glass-is-half-empty point of view. Did it ever occur to you that every cloud has a silver lining? Why not focus on searching for the positive aspects, instead of dwelling on the negative aspects? The more open you are to positive possibilities, the more of them you'll see and experience!

Bottom line - you get to choose how prosperous you want to be. In fact, Abraham Lincoln once said, "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be." Your reality will mold itself to fit the way you view the world. When you look at it that way, living a prosperous life isn't so hard, after all!
